Penguin Ice Wikis:News/Independent domain and migration in 2014

We have set our wiki to be migrated, data backed up and transferred to its own new domain, all by February 2014. When this happens, every profile and page will be backed up and possibly most users, target and performed actions by all those users will be transferred as well. New extensions and skins are coming your way in this update, so stay tuned!

New Skins:

AlphaBook: A dark, futuristic MonoBook-based skin.

Billabong: A professional skin that also has some features of the simpler skins, like Chick.

Bone-Dog: A Cologne Blue-based skin that is brown and blue with a background of dog bones and a doghouse with a beagle with its head peeking out of the doghouse. Perfect for dog lovers.

Candy: Almost identical to the Tufte skin, except with pink and fuchsia instead of blue, yellow and some of the white.

Carrot: A MonoBook-based skin that has a carrot orange background, hence the name.

Erudite: A clean and simple skin. It is based on a WordPress.org theme of the same name, which looks almost identical to the MediaWiki one.

Monaco: An advanced skin that has some core features used in Tufte, WhiteBook and MonoBook. Originally used for Wikia, but later became a MediaWiki extension and several years later, it was completely removed from Wikia, replacing it with their own nameless skin that has many variations, and this skin used to lead to controversies when the new, unnamed skin was made. Some editors left because they had preferred the Monaco or MonoBook skin.

Truffle: A skin based on the CSS on theiphonewiki.com used on there for the Vector skin. It is orange, red and brown, hence the name.

Tufte: A cool skin based on MonoBook's format. Originally a skin choice from the Referata wiki farm.

Vector: The current default MediaWiki skin that will be made when this website will be migrated.

Whale: A blue skin that does not have any base format from any other skin, but still retains the customized sidebar, action and profile bars like most skins do.

WhiteBook: A MonoBook-based skin that has a plain white background, hence the name. Originally a skin choice from the Referata wiki farm.
